General operations

Connecting up external

antenna

To enable reception under adverse re-

ception conditions, an external GPS an-

tenna can be connected (not included).

For this purpose, a closable connecting

socket is located on the rear of the hou-

sing. If no external antenna is connected,

this connection must always be closed

again.

X Open the closure by pulling gently on

its upper surface.

X Connect the external antenna up as de-

scribed in the manufacturer''s instruc-

tions.

Switching the Traffic Assist

Highspeed on/off

The unit is switched on and off using the

back key.

Switching on

X Press the back key for a few seconds.

The unit is switched on. The manufactu-

rer's logo appears on the touch screen.

The following question appears shortly

thereafter: Comply with highway code

X If you agree with this request, press

the OK key.
